What happens to information when you visit this website and when you send us the form. It is short, because the site does very little.
What this site collects
The inquiry form asks for your name and a phone number, and optionally an email address, the kind of floor you have in mind and a few words about the room. When you send it, those details reach us together with the page you sent it from, the site that referred you to us if there was one, and any campaign tags in the address you arrived on. We use them to reply to your inquiry, and to price and carry out the work if you go ahead, and for nothing else.
There is no account system, no newsletter and no shop on this site, so beyond that form it asks you to type in nothing.
Analytics
Plankora Flooring uses Google Analytics to understand how this website is found and used. It records the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, the kind of device and browser you use, and how you arrived. It also records that an enquiry form was submitted, so we know which pages lead to enquiries. It sets cookies to do that.
It does not record your name, your phone number, your email address or anything you type into the enquiry form. Those go to us and only to us, and are never sent to Google. Advertising features and cross-site tracking are switched off.
Google may process this data outside your country. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics also works, and blocking it does not affect the enquiry form or anything else on this site.
When you call the number on this site, the call reaches us through an ordinary telephone service. We use what you tell us on the call to answer your inquiry, and to price and carry out the work if you go ahead.
The map
Some pages show a map of the area we cover. The map is supplied by Google Maps and is loaded from Google's servers. It is held back until it is close to being scrolled into view, so on many visits it is never requested at all. When it does load, your browser contacts Google directly, and Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy rather than ours. We receive nothing from it. Blocking third-party frames in your browser stops it, and every other part of this site still works.
Hosting and server logs
This site is served as static files by a hosting provider. Like almost all web hosts, the provider keeps short-term technical logs, which typically include IP addresses, request times and error information, and uses them to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not combine those logs with anything else, and we do not use them to build a profile of visitors.
Links to other sites
Where we link to another site, including Google Maps and our own local sites for each borough, that site's own privacy practices apply once you follow the link.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version replaces this one on this page.
